The Academy of Art University has been my second home for the past four years where I have been hired on as a full time faculty member of the Animation Department.  I teach what I know, the principles and techniques involved in successful stop motion animation production.  My student population has representatives from all over the planet.  The work they produce is sometimes very sophisticated in concept and in execution.  I will highlight the best of my student's work in this space and I will try to keep it refreshed at a steady rate with new work.

The Court Jester is the Final Project for this very gifted student whose name you will likely never forget, Cedar-Rain Yellow Mule.  Her work is striking because this effort is the result of only fifteen weeks of training.  Obviously, Cedar-Rain needs very little direction as she comes equipped with plenty of her own.  This piece is an original idea that was recognized by The Academy of Art University in their 2015 Spring Show for its excellence.

Coppelia is the creation of one my most gifted students, Annie Wong, whose graduate thesis is the beautiful work you see above.  Annie did everything you see here including all puppets, props, sets, animation, lighting and editing.  This piece is an original idea that was recognized by The Academy of Art University in their 2015 Spring Show for its excellence.

Christy Cunningham is tremendously talented and extremely inventive in her approach to her work.  This unusual example, Acid Eye, is one of Christy's best works, so far.  This piece is an original idea that was recognized by The Academy of Art University in their 2015 Spring Show for its excellence.
